I've done this before but have been scolded by HP for doing so. Is there a
reason you can't simply rename LV's? What are the consequences if any? I
simply do this (making sure they are unmounted first):
# cd /dev/vgXX
# mv rname rnewname
# mv name newname
# vgcfgbackup vgXX
Is there a problem? Thanks.
Craig
