I have to add new port for an application requirement between my server and a remote server.
I append the line
testdb 8787/tcp #link to the remote-vendor x
under /etc/services.
Do I need to reinitialize any daemons to reread /etc/services. Or adding the above line is just enough.
Please help.
Thanks
Balaji
