Excuse the newbieness of this post but I have exhausted other sources of
    finding this information.

I have a D-370 which I have trying to get an X session to, the unit
shipped with a couple of extra cards including an A4071B HCRX-24 card.
I can get this card to work in the Turbo slot and the contents of the
console are displayed on my 1280x1024 17” monitor (albeit shifted down a
little so I can’t see the bottom line). The problem is that once this
card is in the machine the installed version of HP-UX 11 refuses to
boot. If I try to boot from the CDROM for a fresh install of HP-UX it
    crashes and reboots.

This has lead me to believe that this card is probably not compatible
with this machine, but I am not so sure about whether I have to do
something else to get it to work.

Failing that, here is the real HP-UX question: How would I go about
getting an X session to the box from one of my other UNIX boxes? There
doesn’t seem to be any form of XServer running on the box and any
attempt to configure one through SAM (I told you I was a newbie) informs
me I cannot run an X Server without a graphics card.

Any help would be greatly received.

    Regards

    James
