[HPADM] RP8420 Partitioned system make_recovery

    Hi:

     

    We have (2) RP8420 systems each with a single Npar and multiple Vpars. One
    of the complexes is our Ignite/UX server for all.

     

    I'm interested in what other HP sites are doing to capture recovery
    data/media to be used in the event a complete Complex reinstall was
    necessary.

     

    HP states it is possible to create a make_tape_recovery by first shutting
    down (-h) all but the genesis partition, modifying the lif file, rebooting
    and then issuing the make_tape_recovery command. Once complete modify the
    lif again and reboot.
