Hello. We are running Ignite version B.5.4.50, mostly on HPUX 11.0 and 11.11 clients. I am trying to run a tape_recovery locally on an 11.0 machine. I am getting an error that an existing Ignite process is currently running and that it needs to be killed before a new recovery can be started. There are no ignite processes running according to a ‘ps –ef’. However, there are existing files and directories that may have been created by an earlier attempted (aborted) Ignite. They are:

    /var/opt/ignite/recovery/client_status

    /var/opt/ignite/recovery/client_status/previews

    /var/opt/ignite/recovery/2005-02-23,11:12/archive_content

    /var/opt/ignite/recovery/2005-02-23,11:12/system_cfg

    /var/opt/ignite/recovery/2005-02-23,11:12/control_cfg

    /var/opt/ignite/recovery/2005-02-23,11:12/flist

    /var/opt/ignite/recovery/2005-02-23,11:12/archive_cfg

    /var/opt/ignite/recovery/2005-02-23,11:12/tape

    /var/opt/ignite/recovery/2005-02-23,11:12/recovery.log

    Here is the /var/opt/ignite/recovery/client_status file:

    [root@ems1 /var/opt/ignite/recovery]# cat client_status
    Prepare_Client Active
    Prepare_Client Complete
    Save_System_Configuration Active
    Save_System_Configuration Complete
    Prepare_Archive_Configs Active
    Prepare_Archive_Configs Complete
    Build_Archive Active
    Build_Archive Error

I am wondering if I can just remove or move these files and then restart a new Ignite session. If I have to edit any of them, does anyone have any advice as to which files and how to edit them?
