Fellow SAs:
Please suggest me of a way to backup a 20 Gig
Filesystem to another filesystem in a different volume
group. I am looking for a quick and non-complicated
way. The reason is that I have a small downtime window
and I have been asked to shrink a filesystem with
critical data. Its a database filesystem. [I want to
play it safe because I had a nasty experience with
lvreduce in the past :( ]
I dont have the time to take a tape backup after
shutting down the database.
Any suggestion from you would be most appreciated.
Thanks a lot.
NEIL.
