    Hi all,

I came in this morning to a corrupt directory in the filesystem that holds all of my ORACLE_HOMEs. The corruption is only affecting one of 3 ORACLE_HOME directories in the filesystem, so 3 of my 4 databases are up and running. My question is this: Is there any way to recover from this without unmounting the whole filesystem and running fsck? In order to unmount and run fsck, I would have to shut down the other 3 databases and all 1000 employees would be affected. Needless to say, I will encounter some resistance in doing that right now. I have tried mv 9.2.0 9.2.0.bad but get an error saying "mv: 9.2.0.bad: rename: no such device or address"

System is HP-UX 11.11 on an rp7410, disks are VA7410, filesystem is vxfs
