[HPADM] Re: HP-UX to Solaris

Folks,

Thanks for all the replies. I received a lot of responses. Most folks
suggested that I go to http://bhami.com/rosetta.html as a quick
reference. At first glance, it looks like a great reference. There is
also unixguide.net as a reference.

Also, there is a class that Sun provides that is designed for
experienced admins in other flavors of Unix. It is
http://www.sun.com/training/catalog/courses/STS-277.xml Most folks
who told me about it said it is a very intense 5 day class. This class
covers their Sys Admin I and Sys Admin II classes into one 5 day class,
12 hours long each day. At the end, they give you a free voucher to
take the Solaris Admin Certification test.

Folks,

I've just recently started a new job that is strictly a Solaris shop.
I've been working in the HP-UX world for a long time, and only really
dabbled in the Solaris world. I'm wondering if there is a course
and/or
good reference material that would help me transition from HP-UX to
Solaris. I know that IBM offers a course for HP-UX admins to get
certified on AIX systems. Is there something similar on the Solaris
side?
