[HPADM] Dataprotector as a scheduler

Fellow SAs:
I am trying to run a dummy backup job via
dataprotector 5.1 GUI.
I have achieved it by chosing the destination as
/dev/null.
My only problem is that it takes around 4 hours for my
dummy backup to complete (same as actually dumping to
a tape). I need to make use of dataprotector as a
scheduler only for this activity of mine.
Can someone suggest of a better way to run a dummy
backup job and direct it somewhere so I can complete
it faster??
Regards,
NEIL
