[HPADM] SUMMARY: Installing MCOE (Mission Critical OS)

Thanks you have helped me realise my mistake.

We have four servers two are mission critical and two are not.

We have four sets of media, two are mission critical and two are not....
;-)

Do I need to carry on or can you see the error of my ways... I didn't
realise the CDs were actually different.

Cheers
Nick.

Maybe I don't understand your questions, but HP delivers various types
of install media. One of those types is MCOE. It's not a version but
rather a grouping of software. MCOE media includes unlocked copies of
such things as ServiceGuard, Mirror/UX, etc. Simply installing the OS
installs those applications as well (by default). The version of HPUX
you are installing is 11.23. MCOE and the other groups were simply put
together to make it easier to purchase and install common components.

I am trying to install the Mission Critical (MCOE) version of HP-UX
11.23 on an Itanium Server.

When the CD boots it doesn't make it clear which option you need to
choose in order to get the MCOE.

Documentation / web doesn't seem to tell you either!

Can someone help by telling me exactly how to install the MCOE version
of 11.23 please!?

Thanks in advance,

Nick Stocker
