Fellow Admins:
Please help me map a HP-UX Filesystem onto a drive on
my laptop. I've been trying to do this since this
morning and have had no luck even after 4/5 hours.
I am unable to map a exported Filesystem
/export/UnixShare onto my laptop.
My smb.conf file is attached below. My IDs are the
same along with the password on the Laptop and the
HP-UX Server. I have restarted my laptop every single
time I changed the smb.conf file and even restarted
the samba services.
================================
# Global parameters
[global]
server string = Interal Samba Server
security = share
encrypt passwords = yes
log file = /var/opt/samba/log.%m
syslog = 0
preferred master = No
local master = No
domain master = No
[unixshare]
comment = Internal UNIX SHARE
path = /export/UnixShare
valid users = myid
read only = No
[bcktst01]:/etc/opt/samba #
I try to map it as \\<IP ADDRESS>\unixshare. I am sure
I am making some mistake here which I am unaware off.
