[HPADM] RE: EMC: DMX 3000: utiltiy scripts

Hi Richard

Symdev give only information on which server its called not all devices en DMX.

I have to free about 5 To of disques space on DMX (we are livining back DMX location), so
I need to know the physical disk across the DMX where is located the HVE used by my servers.

symdev -sid <last4digits_of_DMX> list
would show relationship of hypervolumes and spindles

Also using EMC control center GUI, you would be able to see the relationship

Just wondering why you have to worry about this, EMC lays out the disk in the back end in an optimum way, and we as end users do not worry about how it is laid out in the back end?
