[HPADM] LTO4 Ultrium 1840 (LTO4) Drives HP Supported on HP-UX 11i V1?

I have not posted to this list in years, any help would be greatly
appreciated. I have checked the archives and found nothing on this.
Has anyone had experience using Ultrium 1848 drives with HP-UX 11i V1?
We looked at the HP document: "HP LTO-4 Ultrium Tape Drives Tech Ref
manual.pdf" and it says to install the latest HWEnablement bundle. We
got the link from HP for that bundle, and inside the patch bundle which
they say is the latest, stape patch(PHKL_34552). We have already
installed that patch. I'm not seeing that 11iv1 supports the Ultrium
1840 (LTO4) tape drive. The link below from HP contains a software
compatibility table that shows they are not supported? Can you point me
in a direction to resolve?
