[HPADM] SUMMARY: File listing after HP-UX 10.20 install

Hello again HP-UX admins,

Thank you to:

Volker T. Mueller
Stan Pietkiewicz
James J. Perry

who all recommended running:

swlist -l file \*

to get a list of files that the operating system "owns".

I will ask my client to do exactly that and send me the output.

Original question pasted below.

Hello HP-UX admins,

Another legacy HP-UX 10.20 question.

Does anyone have a file listing of a HP-UX 10.20 system taken just
after the system has been installed with the base operating system but
BEFORE any applications, users or additional volume groups/file
systems have been added?

Running something like this as root after install:

find / -print > /tmp/allfiles

and then being able to send the /tmp/allfiles file to me?

If I had access to suitable hardware I'd do this myself on a suitable
test box but, alas, right now I don't have access.

The reason I would like this listing is to have a base to compare a
running system against. I am trying to create a process to flag up
which files on a system are likely to belong to a third party
application. Instinct gets you so far but something a bit more
automated could well flag things up that a manual inspection may miss.

Kind regards,

William Andrew Cranston.
