Greetings,
I'm trying to delete a vxfs file system on a hpux 11.11 server. All
attempts at unmounting it fail saying the device is busy. The server
has other valid and active file systems on it so I cannot reboot it.
I've tried the following tricks to figure out what it is unhappy about
. If anyone has any additional things to try, I would appreciate it.
umount /mnt/homes
fuser <all options> /mnt/homes - no processes listed
lsof <all options> /mnt/homes - no processes listed
lvchange -a <y and n> /dev/vg21/homes
vgchange -a <y and n> /dev/vg21
lvreduce using jfs 3.3 hits blocks it cannot move with 2 disks left in
the volume group. It did work for the other 5.
no stale extents in the logical volume
tusc umount /mnt/homes -
no defunct processes or anything explicitly calling out /mnt/homes
No other users logged in.
I have glance but haven't been able to trace any processes having any
file or directory open.
Thanks,
Jeff
