    Hello Dear Sirs,

As per the above subject, I hv quite a problem in setting the locale to
    japanese. Below is the background.

We have Solaris 7 server. I installed the locale of japanese from Solaris
8 locales CD ( might be this is the problem). But it did not give any error
and went on installing all the packages. After installing it, i requested
the user to set the lang LANG=ja or japanese which it had created in
/usr/openwin/lib/locale. It says " Locale could not be set properly". My
default locale is English. But there is a tool which converts the properties
of a file from native2ascii. When converted the characters should be visible
in japanese characters but it is not happening. We were working on finding a
solution from the past 2 days and decided to ask help from you people. If
someone have come across this, please do help us out.

Thank you for help in advance. Expecting an early reply.

    Regds.,
    Bhavani
