I will go ahead with Steven's script. primarily because I could understand it

df -k| awk '$5>70 { print "Aroogah! " $6 " is nearly full" }'

As everyone recomended ..I will schedule it in cron.

Hi SunManagers,
One of the File systems on my Sun Machine keeps on getting full. My
developers
wanted that when ever the file system reaches say 70%, they should get a mail
or some kind of an alert. I havent done scripting So i need your help.
As I understand we need to pick up the %field from df -k and the do wall to
all connected users. I wanted to broadcast something like " /ORACLE HAS
REACHED 70% OF ITS CAPACITY,PLEASE TAKE CARE"
