    Hello,

We just changed the IP and hostname of a Sun E3000 (solaris 8), and put
it on a new subnet. Unfortunately, printing no longer works. We
could print to all the printers before the move.

We are using HP's hppi to configure them.

I can ping the printers, traceroute to them, and telnet to them, but
when I try to print, it's as if the request disappears.

Using the hppi's diagonostic tool shows:
    RESULT:
    *** Receive NO snmp response!
*** (printer down, cable off, or wrong Get community name?)
    No response!
Either incorrect GET community name, not an HP network
    printer, or encountering other problems.

A web search for this shows that this is often a firewall issue, but
according to our wan group there are no firewalls between the server
and the printer. And we can ping and telnet to the printer and port
    9100 just fine.

Anyone have any ideas I could look at next?

    thanks,
    Andrew Miles
