We have a JSP based application running on E450
Server with Sun solaris 2.8 Version with
    Generic_108528-18 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-4 .

The application uses Java Mail (JDK 1.3) and iPlanet
    as Webserver..

The JSP Application captures data and send to SMTP
via JavaMail host to be forwarded to Exchange Server
which is then downloaded to outlook 2000 mailbox..

The Problem is that this data has been designed to
be displayed as normal text in the user mailbox..

But at times without any known reason it seem to
send txt attachments to user mailbox..This happens
intermittantly and we have not been able to figure
out why this happens suddenly and then one fine day
    everything starts working normal..

    We get following error

    "

Has anyone expereinced something similar ?

At Times we reset the iPlanet Webserver on E450 the problem seems to disappear but we are not sure if
this is the problem and what causes this
    intermittant problem

What could be cause and solution for this

    Thanks
