Managers,
We have a script in which ftp goes to a remote machine, does an mget on
several files in a directory, then does an mdelete on the same files, cd's
back a directory, then goes to another directory and repeats the process. Our
problem is that the mgets occasionally hang. We are using the ftp client that
is native to Solaris. I haven't looked in depth at the problem, but it sounds
like it could be a problem with the server on the remote machine. What do you
think? Have any of you seen anything similar, and if so, what was done to
remedy the problem?
Thanks.
