Thanks to Greg, Hichael, Timon, Roy and Hendrik.

On rechecking with rup -h at other time, i found that load had
decreased. so decided to leave it like this. also found from web that
these load averages are indicative of average CPU load for 1, 5 and 15
minutes. Hence i need to poll rup -h every hour and co-relate the
figures with the performance every hour. Only then may be i can find out
a co-relation of the performance vs. the typical load averages for the
    servers.

Now request gurus to help me write a script to automatically execute rup
-h every hour and cat it to a file along with the time and date stamp.

    Thanks in advance..
