    Hi managers

    We currently run oracle 8 in a number of locations, in HA cluster, using
    a shared NFS volume running on a NetApp.

    We have tried using the same configuration in a new site, replacing the
    NetApp with an E450 running NFS. Oracle won't start, reporting ORA-0600
    errors. A search on Oracle's TechNet reveals they only support NFS from
    NetApp and a handful of other vendors, not Sun. http://technet.oracle.com/deploy/availability/htdocs/vendors.html

    Has anyone here got this configuration to work? If so, what NFS options
    were in place on the client (oracle) machine and the NFS server?
