problems with hme0

    I get

    configuring IPV4 interfaces:ifconfig;plumb hme0: Bad file number
    ifconfig SIOCGLIFNETMASK: hme0: no such interface

    I removed the link and corresponding device file, did boot -r,
    but got the same thing.

    Help !!
