Good morning all..
Since you have all been so kind in answering my questions in the past, and
have come up with all the right answers, I thought I would beg and plead for
yet one more answer.
Now I have been given several robotic tape libraries to test. These range from
Sun badged StorageTeks, to full blow StorageTek units, to Sun L11000, L180's.
L120's, pretty much everything with a robot.
Here is my issue.
I can set-up the unit, get the robot to run from within the control panels of
the system, unfortunately, I do not have any backup software to test the
system integration with.
Now for the kicker, I don't really have a need to set-up a full blown backup
server. I am simply a mid point, I receive used equipment, test it, and
recycle it to it's next users. Setting up a full Omniback, or Legato or
Veritas or anything along those lines is a bit counterproductive, due to the
time it takes to simply set-up the software.
Does anyone know of a simpler software that would simply run the system
through it's paces. I.E. I use VTS to test most of my hardware, however I
cannot locate anything in there that would have robotic control.
I sincerely thank you all in advance for your answers.
Glenn May
