Dear managers,
I need teTeX on Solaris and thought the quickest approach would be to
go with a package from www.sunfreeware.com. I did
gunzip tetex-2.0.2-sol8-sparc-local.gz
pkgadd -d gunzip tetex-2.0.2-sol8-sparc-local
For whatever reason I got Error: file texmf.cnf not found in
``/usr/local/share/texmf/web2c'' so I did
ln -s /usr/local/teTeX/share /usr/local/share
to fix that. Somebody looked into usr/local/share/texmf/web2c instead
of usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf/web2c. I then did
texconfig confall
and tried
bash-2.03$ pdftex test.tex
This is pdfTeX, Version 3.14159-13d (Web2C 7.3.1)
(Fatal format file error; I'm stymied)
I am stymied as well. What is missing here? What else do I have to do
to get a working teTeX distribution on Solaris?
Thanks a lot in advance!
Regards,
Andreas
