I have a SunFire V100 stop responding via ethernet, and if fact console,
when I powercycled it and ran fsck and got a bunch of lost block errors I
saw this in /var/adm/messages
Aug 25 07:35:36 aphrodite dada: [ID 107833 kern.warning] WARNING:
/pci@1f,0/ide@d/dad@2,0 (dad0):
Aug 25 07:35:36 aphrodite Uncorrectable data Error: Block 952bc0
Aug 25 07:35:37 aphrodite dada: [ID 107833 kern.warning] WARNING:
/pci@1f,0/ide@d/dad@2,0 (dad0):
Does this look like the disk is going bad? After the server came back up I
left and then it went down again, again no console messages, power and
ethernet had lights but plugging into the LOM (or serial) ports produced no
output.
It's back up now, are there any utils I can use to stress out the disk
(without destroying data) or should I just get a new disk?
Bill
