cron execution for username of 14 char

    I have a unix user id eppi_pr_link_dba,this id is 16 character long.
    when i submit a cron job with this id it is not executed it give's a error
    in the log file /var/cron/log.
    The error is ;
    ! No such user as eppi_pr_link_dbeppi_pr_l - cron entries not created Wed

     17:26:14 2003

    If the user id is less than 14 characters then it works.

    This is a project requirement as the project people have documented this
    user id in all their followup with the client.

    Is there any patches to get this issue resolved?
