    Dear Sun Managers:

This afternoon, I just upgraded my Ultra 5 (Solaris 8)
to the latest kernel update patch 108528-23; and
suddenly I am no longer able to run Sun VTS
diagnostics to test memory on this desktop. The error
    message is:

FATAL mem: "Unable to read pointer to memlist
    structure"
and the SunVTS diag program aborts.

This system is running great with Solaris 8 for
months; and has had no problem with Sun VTS running
the older version of kernel update patch (108528-11)
    from the Solaris CD software.

Interestingly, I do *not* run into this error on my
E4500 server with the same kernel patch update.

Has anybody seen this problem and how did you correct
the problem? Can you back out of this kernel patch and
    how?

By the way, I've seen similar error message reported
on latest SunVTS 5.1 PS1 build 3 from Sunsolve (bug
    4720852 & 4716237).

Thanks for any suggestion or feedback
    Tony
