For what is truning our to be a long battle I have the following:
    SunfireV120 runnign Solaris 5.9
JNI FCX2-6562 Dual Fibre Card PCI
IBM FASTT700 connected via a Fibre Switch

    The JNI card installed OK.
I can see the SAN ok.
I have successfully mapped LUN's off the SAN. These are apprearing as
    disks on the server.

The above partition map seems to be the default map layout that the IBM
software assigns to any LUN created as a SOLARIS OS sepcific format..

Problem is that if I try to format, newfs moutn or do anything with the
disks I get a strange error.

Is there soemthing I am missing here. Open to any suggestions.
I don't beleive the issue is with connectivity as I can see the LUNS and
    the partinmaps etc.
It's almos like the OS does not know the drive type. ie cylinders,
    heads etc

    Thank you in advance.
