Hello,
I have a Sun Fire 280R ( 4GB RAM) with Solaris 8 installed. It has been
working fine since last May however during the last week or so it has been
rebooting on an almost daily basis. When looking at the /var/adm/messages I
noticed that it is rebooting every time with a different error message.
I searched the internet and found there is a bug (Sun Alert ID: 45527) related
to Sun Fire and Solaris 8 with similar symptoms. However, I have the patch
(108528-18) for this bug installed on the system.
At this point, I don't know if it is a bug or else a hardware fault (CPU or
RAM).
I am attaching the /var/adm/messages maybe you recognise some of the
messages.
Can you help?
Regards,
Joanna
