I have an HP USB all in one device ( Scan,Fax, Print ) with a USB
interface. I succesfully hooked it up to a SunBlade 100 under Solaris 9
and used Ghostscript etc and it prints like a dream. I now want to use
    the scan functions.

I found Sane and the corresponding front and backends which
are all available for Solaris but only seem to refer to SCSI scanners
which seem a bit ancient and keeps referring to libusb being needed for
USB scanners but this only seems to be available for linux, FreeBSD and
    OpenBSD

It seems hard to believe that all this is available apart from
the tiny device driver / library for this class of device on USB ( USB
printers after all are recognised and work )

Anyone know either of any way to access USB scanners on Solaris
or the status of any libusb port to Solaris ?

    Best Regards

    Steve Butterfield
