Configuring Color Depth and AC97 sound for Intel 810 chipset

    I have installed Solaris 8 on Intel 810 chipset. I have problems setting up
    the color depth and audio for the system.

    I am not able to set the color depth of the system to 24. The best that I am
    able to get is just 8. The system has 4 MB of built in display memory.
    After referring to the patches I tried installing the patch 110959-01 but the
    system prompted to me saying the particular patch is already installed.

    Another problem is about configuring audio. The system has onboard audio
    support. with AC97 audio chip. I am not able to get audio output from the
    system though the system plays the audio files without displaying any error
    message.
