    Greetings all.

Im trying to upgrade from a Ultra-1 to and Ultra-60 system offline, that
is at least testing it with a copy of its root filesystems and what have
you. I had previously tried 'just' swapping the drives, and while the
system booted it hung on mounting its root fs as it did not have the
approiate scsi driver. (asside: what is the add_drv command to add this
?) Since I wont have physcial access to the machine for a while, Im now
limited to working on the upgrade through copies of the filesystems, at
least long enough to workout all the kinks and gather everything I need
for a mimimal downtime swap. Anyway, on to my (current) problem:

The u60 boots from a solaris install CD, and from there I formated a
disk, and created filesystems for / and /usr... I ftp'd over my ufsdump
files, and ufsrestored them. Resetting and booting from the disk fails
with the error: "Fast Data Access MMU Miss".. The command
"limit-ecache-size" also fails... Ive read enough of this lists
archives, and dug around Suns various sites to know that this means I
need to upgrade the OpenBoot PROM. FWIW, the current state is:

    {0} ok .version
    Release 3.11 Version 24 created 1997/12/03 10:50
    OBP 3.11.24 1997/12/03 10:50
    POST 1.0.7 1997/12/17 14:37

So it dosent look like the OBP has been upgraded since it left sunny
California. So boot of the CD agian, mount the disk, ftp over patch
106455-11 uncompress it and then try to run /flash-update-Ultra60-latest
    from the boot monitor:

    Fast Data Access MMU Miss

Crap. For fun I also try to boot the oldest of the flashers included in
the patch with the same error....So it seems that Im stuck with a system
where the oldest OBP flashers need a more recent OBP then I have to
    work. Chicken, Egg.

Strangely, before the 'live' drive boot failed on the scsi card, it did
    boot up.

    So.. Any ideas?
