Dear Managers,
This regards security of my server, which I'm aware recently..
I've tried to compile iplog, but found strange problems with
libpcap ... Then I found there was a disscusion about the problem
on this list in August ... Final suggestion was to download
a compiled package from sunfreeware.com. So I did it.
The problem is that actualy iplog logs nothing. The only logging
occurs when I set logging of short packets ("Short IP packet from ...")
It claims all packetd are short ..(???) tcpdump works just fine ...
ANy help ???
And maybe more general question (hope no flames on this): what
security (I mean: defence) programs do you use and recommend to use ...
Possibly free or low cost ...
Machine is V880, Solaris 9, all recommended patches (Sep 11/2003) ..
I'll summarize ...
GB
