    Hello managers!

I have done something not so smart..in an attempt to have clean and not so
messy rc2.d and rc3.d area and a nice short process list..I have taken away
some of the startup scripts from there..so the daemons dont start after a
    reboot.

The removed startup scripts include autofs.
My problem is that I am trying to mount my cdrom. I can no longer find a
device called cdrom under / and I cant find anything called cdrom under /dev
    either.

I have tried running devfsadm -c cdrom and volcheck (my vold daemon is still
    running) but nothing happens

I have also tried to mkdir cdrom under /mnt and directly on / and ran mount
/dev/sr0 /cdrom but all that happens when I run mount operations on the
device sr0 is a Device busy message. I have also tried mount
/dev/dsk/c0t6d0s0 -r hsfs -ro /cdrom but there are no such device...

I am wondering if maybe I have "cleaned away" the device cdrom by running
    devfsadm

Anyone have some advice for things I can try to get my cdrom back ?

(BTW: I can even get the cdrom bay door to eject by pressing the button on
    it)

    Mvh
