Viewing 8bit and 24 bits apps on an Ultra 60 (Creator3D)

    Hi folks,
    is there any way to configure a Creator3D card (on an Ultra 60 - Sol7) to
    be able to
    display 8 bit and 24 bits apps at the same time.

    At the moment the defdepth is set to 24 in the /etc/dtc/config/Xservers
    file.
    If I then try and run an 8bit app (e.g. /usr/openwin/bin/xcolor) it doesn't
    work as it expects
    an 8bit display.

    I have read that the Creator3D can do both 8 and 24 bit simultaneously.
