    Hello all,
Thanks to all who replied. I rebooted the system and did fsck on
    /dev/rdsk/c3t5d0s2 with no luck.
Then I used fsck -F ufs -y -o b=32 /dev/rdsk/c3t5d0s2 but the result was an
error "Can't open /dev/rdsk/c3t5d0s2. Does this mean that the file system is
lost? if I do a df -k i get all the other file systems except the one in
question (/export/home) What options do I have now?

    I have a Sun Enterprise 450 with 7 A1000s (with individual controllers).
    If I do format
    The output is as follows:
    root@biotools # format
    Searching for disks...done

    AVAILABLE DISK SELECTIONS:
           0. c0t0d0 <SUN18G cyl 7506 alt 2 hd 19 sec 248>

              /pseudo/rdnexus@8/rdriver@5,2

The old format output always show 9 Disk. And ofcourse the missing one is
    c3t5d0 (used to be #3)
Is this a case of dead controller and/or the partition? What should I do to
atleast get it to be seen on format command?
Do I need to do the following at the boot prompt?
        ok> setenv autoboot? false
        ok> reset-all
        ok> probe-scsi-all
This is yet another call for the GURUS.
    Thankyou,
    VS
