Sir,
I have a Solaris 8 Sparc machine. As root when the
commanda "init 5" and "init 6" the machine goes to a
halt. Even on issuing the "reboot" command the machine
does not re-eboot, instead it stops.
By logic init 6 must restart the comp and init 5
should halt the system. But in both the cases the
machine goes off to the halt state. Can any one let me
know what would be the problem.
Thanks and Regards
Girish
