    E4500 with CPU/Memeory boards in Slot 0,2,4,6 and Slot3. Slot 5,7 has disk boards/cards.
Slot 1 SBUS I/O with 2 Fiber JNI cards in 2 SBUS slots running Sol7.
The boards in Slot 5,7 show up as disconnected in "cfgadm -al" and amber light in the back.
This doesn't make sense since the cards have boot disk and mirror and the other has swap and it's mirror.
    System runs ok.
1)Why the cards in slot5,7 show up as disconnected with amber light?
    Is this normal?
2)Can I replace the disk card in slot 7 with SBUS I/O board? (I think "yes"). Can Slot 7 take SBUS I/O board? The new SBUS I/O board will have GB ethernet card in one of the SBUS slots and that's it.
3)What do I have to be concerned about with swapping disk card with SBUS I/O board? Will this affect my cXtXdX controller numbering? Will this affect my controller numbering with SBUS I/O in slot 1 and hooked up Hittchi array with the new SBUS I/O board with GB ethernet card in Slot 7?

    Output of format...
    AVAILABLE DISK SELECTIONS:

           4. c2t20d0 <HITACHI-DF400- cyl 495 alt 2 hd 50 sec 768>
    etc...etc...

Will the new SBUS I/O take up any of the current occupying controller numbers and push back Hittachi to c4?
4)Does it matter if I do this on a live system or Do I bring it down and do it with boot -r? Reconfiguration boot might reassign Controller numbers.
5)Am I better of using Slot3 (CPU/Mem board)for swapping instead? That board only has memory in it ...no CPUs.
I am not swapping at all. At the peak usage I'm left with 300MB of memory free.
    6)what is taking up C1?
My big concern is not messing controllers assigned to Hittachi.

    Any pointers, gottchas appreciated...
