I've been getting messages about a slice overlaps when I try to create
a SDS concatenation out of 2 luns on a HP XP512 Storage Area network.
# metainit d90 2 1 c7t0d21s6 1 c7t0d22s6
metainit: glasgow: c7t0d22s6: overlaps with device in d90
Patch 108974-36 supposedly deals with this. No luck. Running SDS 2.4.1
(I think - it was installed off the Supplement disk of Solaris 8 (02/02)
The slices definitely do not overlap - they are on separate luns.
Same problems with an attempt to stripe the same slices
The disks are not SUN drives, but appear as generic HP disks - see the
following output from the format command. (disks 6 thru 11)

#format

I got our XP512 admin to give me a 40Gb. single LUN instead so I can at
least get rolling with creating the file system
Any ideas?
thanks.
