SUMMARY:Cannot load Solaris 8

    Thanks for all the responses! After further troubleshooting we determined
    that the CD was bad and got a replacement.

    Original Question:

    I currently have an E4500 which I replaced with two new drives. When I place
    the Solaris 8 02/02 Disk software 1 0f 2 in and type: boot cdrom I get the
    following messages:

    Not a valid elf file

    File just loaded does not appear to be executable.

    I never saw this before when installing an operating system and am checking
    to see if it is a bad cd or drive. Any suggestions??
