    Hi All,

We are running solaris 8. We have an internal DNS domain (eg Abc.com). There
is an another external DNS domain (Eg xyz.com). The mailserver exists on the
external domain(xyz.com) . There is a Firewall in between two domains. All the
internal domain solaris mail client ip-addresses are added on the Firewall for
sending the mail to mailserver existing on the external domain.

The sendmail.cf file on the clients(internal) are updated with the entry
DS<Firewall address>. The entry of the Firewall is existing in the DNS server
    for our internal DNS server.

All the HP unix clients are working ok,and are able sending mails to the mail
server. But on Solaris clients while sending mail we get and error saying :

    (host map: lookup (xyz.com): deferred)
                                           manish@xyz.com

We are using mailx command on Soalris clients for sending mails as following
    :-

    # mailx -s <subject> manish@xyz.com

    mail message

    .
    EOT

Users on the external domain uses OUTLOOK to read mails. Please suggest the
steps to overcome the problem . Fast response would be highly appreciated....

Please suggest if any other configuration needs to be done on the Soalris
    clients aprt from /etc/mail/sendmail.cf file....

    Regards

    Manish
