Hi All,
I need help on this issue that has been lingering for a long time now.
I have Solaris 5.8 installed on some servers that I manage (V480 and V880).
A DLT Tape Drive 8000 is used.
Please I need solaris command that could be userd to achieve the following:
1. Know the space used on a tape (DLT) after backup has been done on it.
2. Space left after a backup has taken place on the Tape.
I have a script that does an automatic backup using command line below:
/usr/sbin/ufsdump 0uf /dev/rmt/0cn /datadump.
The backup spans to another tape;
3. Command to span to another tape even when the backup is automated and
would allow me change the tape before continuing.
4. Total time a backup runs for on a tape.
Regards,
Adediji Solomon.
