format, type, auto-configure fails

    Hello,

    I have a SunFire 6800 that is connected to an EMC SAN via Emulex 9002.
    We had a lun that was 8.4gb under Veritas Volume Manager 3.5. That lun
    was removed from vxvm, deleted in the symmetrix, and represented as an
    80gb lun. I did a devfsadm -Cv and then went into to autoconfigure the
    drive and I get the error message: Auto configure failed. I am unable
    to read the vtoc on the drive, it gives the following error message:
    Unable to read Disk geometry. Is there anything I am missing or should
    do differently?
