CDE screenlock + NIS

Hi people,
        I have a new SunBlade 2500 (nice machine), with Solaris 8
(latest lcuster patch from last Friday), configured into our network
which is running NIS.
        Here is the problem, I can login, su, and use all the apps of
the CDE, but the screenlock. No matter which user I use, when I clok the
screen, I must use the password of root to go back to the CDE...
        I checked sunsolve, google, and the archive and I couldn't find
anything...

Any help will be appreciated, I need to hand this machine to the
end-user asap... And I can't give him root access!!
