    Mallesh,
         Take a look to see what program start-slapd is running. You can
    then
    use ldd to look at what libraries are required.

    ldd <some_executable>

    will display the libraries used for <some_executable>. This will show
    if
    any are missing.
    If the libraries are all there, then look for patches concerning each
    one
    and make sure all those patches are loaded.
    That fixes about 90% of the problems I see.

    Hi,

    When I start sunone directory server I am getting the following error,
    if any one has across this problem please help me resolving this
    problem.

    I feel it's a library failure, but how to find out which library is gone
    bad.

    Any suggestion or help?

    #cd /usr/local/sunone/directoryserver/slapd-consumer

    #./start-slapd

    [30/Mar/2004:11:37:58 -0500] - SSL alert: Security Initialization: NSS
    initialisation failed (error -5977 - Failure to load dynamic
    library.):[30/Mar/2004:11:37:58 -0500] - NSS Initialization Failed.

    Server not running!! Failed to start ns-slapd process.
