Hello All,
I am very new to Sun systems, so please bear with me. I have spent the
last few hours trying to fix what I broke and I really need some help.
I have a Sun Ultra 60 that I wanted to move to a different IP subnet
within our network. I edited /etc/hosts and /etc/defaultrouter to work
with the new subnet. I then used ifconfig hme0 down, ifconfig hme0
a.b.c.d 255.255.255.0, ifconfig hme0 up to reconfigure the IP. Then I
rebooted the machine. Now, it gets stuck while trying to start dsserv.
I can not figure out how to get back to the command prompt so that I can
try editing dsserv.conf so that it will work in the new subnet.
I know that this is probably a very trivial question, but any help is
very much appreciated as this system is unusable by our engineers right
now.
TIA,
Nathan Martinez
