    Hi all,,

Finally, here is the summary. It appears that the 3510 is running smoothly,
but we have some issues on the SunFire 3800 to which the 3510 is
connected. The firmware and drivers of the Qlogic Fibercards is not up to
date to handle the 3510 correctly, and we have some pkg/patch issues in
/var/sadm. pkginfo tells that SUNWcsu is missing and some other packages
are giving a "no such file or directory" message. So we are going to
reinstall the machine and bring it uprev and install a firmwareupdate patch
for the Qlogic cards. That should do the job.

    As for the cylinder/heads/sector thing:

SUN has internally a new manual, which says the following:

If your logical drive is less than 512 GB in size, leave the
    cylinder/heads/sector on it's default value (variable/variable/variable)
If the logical drive is 512 GB or bigger, then you should use the following
    values: <32768/64/variable.

This info has not yet been incorporated in the documentation on the
docs.sun.com site, but will be soon. That is what the SUN engineer told me
    today.

Thanks again for all the help!

met vriendelijke groet / with kind regards,
