ftp and shell access to solaris 8 box; automatic cd command

    I have a group of users which require both shell and ftp login
    capability. The shell login reads .cshrc/.profile just fine, but
    obviously ftp does not. Is there a way to make the ftp login

    %cd /big/long/hairy/path/on/production/server/to/application

    automatically on the first login action,
    because the users get confused when they are on the test server, in a
    different dir structure. Also, this is for interactive user sessions,
    I am not trying to script any ftp sessions here.
