    Hi,
Does the creation of a nisplus replica server require rsh? I have beeen
trying to to add one to my domain. The nisserver script completes fine but
the data is not moved to the new replica. rpc.nisd is running on the new
    replica.

A lsof listing of the network connections shows a connection made to the
new replica but nothing actually gets transferred.

The only unusual thing about the replica machine is the fact that I have
switched off rlogin, rexec and rsh in inetd because policy is to use ssh
    for remote logins.

NIS+ master is running Solaris 8
New replica is running Solaris 9

both have the latest patch clusters installed.

Debugging is difficult because if I leave things in this state for more
than a couple of minutes, then clients bind to the new server and
    people can't log in.

    Any ideas?

    Bob
